The spider-woman…
spotted this big female spider which was around 4-5 cm long.
How do I know it’s female? So, in this species ‘Nephila pilipes’ (golden orb-web spider), females are large and grow to a body size of 3–5 cm while males are around 5-6mm. It is one of the biggest spiders in the world.

Hanging out…

Found this beautiful caterpillar dangling by a thread that is attached to a tree branch at the other end. After searching a lot about it, it seems that it is their defense mechanism to evade predators, by flinging themselves from the trees. After danger passes, they climb back up the (silk) thread and return to their leaf eating business…

Species: Achaea Janata (Castor Semi-looper)

Each picture is amazing. It will be great if you can write a small story (about how you get the best shot) behind these beautiful pictures.

Thank you, Bappa! Good idea! I like telling stories through pictures. I will, at least, write detailed stories for some of them. 🙂
